US Blockade Halts All Iranian Oil Shipments for First Time Since War Began
Iran's oil shipments have been severely impacted by the US naval blockade, according to preliminary data from tanker-tracking estimates compiled by Bloomberg. In September, no crude oil was loaded onto tankers from Iran for the first time since the war began in February. This marks a significant drop from August, when around 250,000 barrels per day were being transported.
According to data providers Kpler and Vortexa, zero crude loadings were recorded last month, further emphasizing the impact of the blockade on Iran's energy exports. The US naval presence in the region has effectively choked off Iran's access to energy markets, causing a substantial decline in oil shipments.
