US Boosts LNG Exports to Meet Asia's Growing Needs
The US is confident it can meet Asia's growing demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) while supporting rising domestic power needs from AI data centers. According to Laura Swett, Chairman of the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, new infrastructure and terminal expansions will boost LNG export capacity.
Swett made this statement at the Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2026 in Bangkok. Asia's growing energy needs are expected to be met by increased LNG exports from the US.
