US Corn Prices Drop Amid Improved Weather Outlook
Corn prices declined on Wednesday as traders anticipated better weather conditions for U.S. crops.
The Chicago Board of Trade's December corn futures fell 3-1/2 cents to $4.77 per bushel, with overall corn prices dropping between 3 and 5 cents.
Despite the USDA reducing its crop condition rating on Monday by more than market participants expected, Asian buyers increased their corn import purchases this week, driven in part by concerns that CBOT corn prices may increase due to worsening U.S. crop conditions.
