US Disputes Iran's Claim on Unmanned Vessel in Strait of Hormuz

The US military has disputed Iran's claim that it struck an unmanned American vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for the US Central Command, called the assertion 'a total lie.'

The incident occurred after two Navy warships were targeted by ballistic missiles, and in response, the US military disabled three Iranian oil tankers.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council head, Mohsen Rezaei, has announced plans to establish an 'exclusion zone' outside of the strait to prevent ships from crossing the waterway.
