The bullion market in India saw a marginal decline on September 7, with both gold and silver prices experiencing losses.

According to current rates, the price of 10 grams of gold stands at ₹1,52,840, down by ₹500 or approximately 0.33% from the previous level. Silver also declined, priced at ₹2,36,660 per kilogram, a decrease of ₹510 or around 0.22%.

The decline is attributed to several international factors, including interest-rate expectations, movements in the US dollar, inflation data, and global economic conditions, which can influence investor demand for precious metals.

Gold generally attracts significant attention when investors seek a store of value during periods of economic or geopolitical uncertainty. However, changing expectations surrounding interest rates can also impact gold demand since the metal does not provide regular interest income.
