US Equities Rally as Tech Names Lead Charge
US equities started Thursday on a strong note after investors got to digest the previous day's events. The market had initially been cautious, but it seems traders have become more positive about the outlook.
Tech names led the charge, with Nvidia and Amazon each rising by 2%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) jumped over 3% higher.
However, oil prices softened for a second day on signs that Saudi Arabia is seeking to return about half of its cross-country pipeline's capacity within days. WTI futures fell 2.5% lower.
