US Expected to Supply Nearly Third of World's LNG by 2030: ExxonMobil
ExxonMobil's senior vice president of LNG, Peter Clarke, recently stated that the US is expected to supply nearly a third of the world's liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 2030. This prediction comes as the company sees continued expansion in US LNG supply throughout the decade.
The EIA expects dry natural gas production to rise from 107.6 billion cubic feet per day in 2025 to 115.9 bcf/d in 2027, with U.S. LNG exports projected to increase to 18.6 bcf/d in 2027.
ExxonMobil's shares are trading higher by over 1% on Monday following this announcement, currently sitting at $167.71 per share.
