The US military has announced that it thwarted an Iranian missile attack, shattering a brief pause in fighting. The attack occurred after weeks of escalation over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, which is responsible for 20% of the world's oil flow.

All Iranian missiles launched against American forces in the Middle East were intercepted by the US military, according to U.S. Central Command. The command added that they 'remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness' as tensions between the two countries remain high.

The US and Saudi Arabia worked together to strike sites used by Iran-backed militias in Iraq to carry out attacks in recent days. The strikes were a response to over 30 IRGC-directed aerial drone attacks in the last 72 hours, according to U.S. Central Command.
