On August 19, President Trump announced an 'Economic D-Day' operation against Iran, which led to heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. The security situation remains highly volatile as Iran continues to target commercial shipping and Gulf States.

U.S. forces have responded with strikes against Iranian military assets and IRGC-owned tankers. As part of the U.S. blockade, 103 commercial vessels trying to run the blockade have been redirected, while three were disabled, and two boarded to ensure compliance.

The Houthi Blockade on July 20 declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabian ports, but there have been no serious incidents reported since August 24. However, UANI has tracked at least 56 tankers laden with Iranian oil currently operating along the Iranian coastline.
