US Gas Prices Fall by 7 Cents Per Gallon Over the Past Week
Gas prices in the US have dropped significantly over the past week, with the national average falling by 7 cents per gallon to $4.41. This decline comes after a record-setting September at the pump, where the monthly average was $4.33, 50 cents higher than the previous September record of $3.83 set in 2023.
According to AAA, the national average price of gasoline has been affected by the decrease in crude oil prices, which have dipped back into the $90 per barrel range. This drop in oil prices has led to a decline in gas prices across the country.
In Vermont, the average price of gasoline is $4.44 per gallon, down 2 cents from last week and up 21 cents from last month. The highest price in the state was reported at $4.69 per gallon.
