US Gas Prices Hit New Highs Amid Ongoing Crude Oil Volatility
Gas prices in the US have continued to rise, with the national average for regular gasoline reaching $4.43 per gallon, up 16 cents from last week and more than one dollar higher than it was a year ago, according to AAA.
The national average is now back to what it was earlier this year during the spring, and is inching closer to this year's record high of $4.56 set on May 21st.
Crude oil remains high, averaging $102.43 per barrel amid continued volatility in global energy markets.
The national average for diesel has reached a new record high at $6.39 per gallon, while regional averages have also broken records, with $6.50 in Pennsylvania and $6.35 in Delaware.
