US Gas Prices Soar to $4.27 Amid Iran Conflict
The US average gas price reached $4.27 per gallon on Thursday, marking a two-day increase of 17.6 cents per gallon. This is the largest two-day rise since April, according to GasBuddy head of petroleum analysis Patrick De Haan.
The surge in gas prices comes after joint U.S. and Israeli military action against Iran. As a result, Brent crude climbed to around $105 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate traded near $99 per barrel.
Trump said that any drop in prices may take longer than the midterm election date on November 3, according to USA Today.
