US-Iran Conflict Eases: Oil Prices Plummet Amid Hopes for Diplomacy
Oil prices dropped in today's opening as US and Iran halted their airstrikes over the past three days. Hopes for diplomatic efforts in Oman to work out a solution were raised, easing market worries for the supply side of the international oil market.
The Straits of Hormuz control remains a significant concern, along with Iran's nuclear program and ongoing activity from the Houthis in the Red Sea. However, further easing of oil market concerns could lead to even lower prices.
