US-Iran Deadlock Sparks Precious Metal Price Surge
The recent impasse in US-Iran negotiations has sent shockwaves through global markets, causing precious metal prices to soar. President Trump's demand for historical conflict compensation from Tehran has effectively stalled peace talks, crushing hopes of reopening the Strait of Hormuz and fueling concerns about fresh inflation.
As a result, investors are flocking to gold and silver as safe-haven assets, driving up their prices worldwide. In Pakistan, local Sarafa markets have adjusted prices in response to these macroeconomic hits, with gold now trading at Rs. 4,83,551 per tola and silver at Rs. 7,185.08.
The international rates are also on the rise, with spot gold hitting $4,635.41 per troy ounce and spot silver reaching $68.92 per troy ounce.
