US-Iran Peace Deal Ignites Market Risk Appetite, Stocks Rise Across the Board
A temporary peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran has boosted market risk appetite, causing stock index futures to rise collectively in pre-market trading.
The news of a potential reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has eased concerns over global energy supply disruptions, leading to a sharp drop in international oil prices.
This decline in oil prices has cooled inflation concerns and driven up tech stocks, AI chip stocks, and airline shares. The Dow futures rose 0.91%, S&P 500 futures increased by 1.31%, and Nasdaq 100 futures jumped 2.18%.
The Iranian nuclear issue and regional security arrangements have not been fully resolved, however, and the subsequent implementation of the agreement will continue to influence oil prices and safe-haven assets.
