US-Iran Tensions Drag Gold Prices Down on MCX
On September 29, gold prices on MCX fell by 0.27% to Rs. 1,48,800 per 10 grams due to ongoing tensions between the US and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz.
The escalating situation kept energy costs elevated, maintaining pressure on the Federal Reserve to increase interest rates.
Brent crude futures rose 1.80% to USD 107.2 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) edged higher by 1.75% to USD 94.22 per barrel.
