US-Iran Tensions Send Rhode Island Gas Price Down 4 Cents

Rhode Island's average gas price dropped by four cents to $4.09 per gallon, according to AAA Northeast's latest survey of fuel prices.

The national average is also down two cents from last week at $4.09 per gallon, with Texas and Indiana having the lowest prices in the nation at $3.59 and $3.60 respectively.

Oil prices have been influenced by easing tensions between the US and Iran, with crude oil falling sharply on reports of cooling hostilities.

Rhode Island's gas price is 33 cents higher than a month ago and $1.05 higher than this day last year, while California and Hawaii hold the highest prices in the nation at $5.65 and $5.45 respectively.
