West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices surged past $100 per barrel on September 10th, following Brent crude's lead as tensions between the US and Iran intensified.

The WTI futures for October delivery were trading at $100.13 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, up 4.3% from the previous session.

Brent crude futures for November delivery were also trading at $105.38 a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange, up 4.1% from the previous session.

The prolonged war between the US and Iran has raised concerns about disruptions to oil supply, with reports of airstrikes, retaliatory attacks, and damage to oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
