US Launches Airstrikes on Iranian Targets After Alleged Shipping Attacks
The United States has launched airstrikes on targets in Iran following what it called 'attempted attacks' against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Pentagon identified Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets hit as air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine-laying capabilities, and communication sites.
The strikes come after two supertankers carrying Saudi oil were struck by unknown projectiles while transiting the Strait of Hormuz late Monday.
President Donald Trump warned Iran not to retaliate, stating that if it did, 'they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level.'
