US-Led EastMed Energy Hub Unveiled in Houston
A new center in Houston, Texas has brought together governments and industry leaders from Cyprus, Greece, Israel, and the United States to advance the EastMed energy axis.
The Eastern Mediterranean Energy Center (EMEC), established at Rice University in June, is a formal entity that will support collaboration on gas development, LNG infrastructure, and energy transportation networks.
With the creation of EMEC, the US has become a full partner in the EastMed effort, denying Moscow its energy weapon against Europe and solidifying America's role as a top gas supplier to Europe.
