US Live Cattle Prices Down as Corn and Soybeans See Contrasting Trends
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CME) price for live cattle dropped by $0.08 to $80.91 per hundredweight, dressed weight, on October 1st, according to Ontario Pork Reports.
This decrease is reflected in the 100% formula price, which fell by $0.21 to $207.67 per hundred kilograms, also dressed weight.
Corn futures saw an increase of 1 cent and 0.5 cents for December and March contracts respectively, while soybean futures declined by 9 cents for both November and January contracts.
