US LNG Exports Surge as Shipping Rates Reach Record High

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the US continued to rise in recent weeks, according to data from the Energy Information Administration. The country sent a total of 36 shipments during the week ending September 9, an increase of three cargoes from the previous week.

This marks the second consecutive week of rising LNG exports for the US. In contrast, shipping rates for Atlantic spot LNG rose significantly, increasing by $4,500 to reach $20,000 per day as of September 11, according to Spark Commodities.

The increase in shipping rates may be attributed to growing demand for LNG in the region. However, it is worth noting that these figures are subject to change and may fluctuate based on various market factors.
