US LNG Flows Mostly to Europe Amid Asian Supply Disruptions
The Iran war has disrupted Asian supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG), sending prices to multi-year highs. Despite this, Asia is pulling in more US LNG than expected, with shipments outpacing 2025 levels.
However, the United States continues to send most of its LNG to Europe, where it accounts for 56% of all US exports. This trend could intensify as competition increases globally.
