US Navy Secures Safe Passage for Oil through Strait of Hormuz Amid Iran Tensions
The US Navy has successfully reopened the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global energy markets, despite tensions with Iran. This achievement is a result of a series of strategic moves by American forces in the region.
According to Pentagon and CENTCOM sources, millions of barrels of oil are being transported nightly through the southern deep-water channel of the Strait, which runs close to Oman's coastline. This route has become the centerpiece of US strategy against Iran, allowing for the passage of 40 loaded oil tankers between Friday and Saturday.
The US Navy's efforts have been successful in extracting between ten and fifteen million barrels of oil from the Gulf nearly every night, without Iranian interference. This is a significant achievement, considering that many of the US strikes conducted weeks ago were designed to enable operation of this corridor.
