US Oil and Gas Industry Sees Growth Despite Rising Costs in Q3 2026
The U.S. oil and gas industry continued to expand in Q3 2026, despite rising costs and supply chain pressures.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Energy Survey reported that exploration and production companies saw higher output for both oil and natural gas during the quarter.
The oil production index increased from 15.0 to 20.7, while the natural gas production index climbed from 3.7 to 14.8.
E&P firms were more optimistic about their outlook than oilfield services companies, with respective outlook indexes of 50.0 and 4.6.
