US Oil and Gas Production Hits Record High Amid Global Tensions
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that American oil and gas workers have reached a record high in production, making the US the world's largest producer of oil and natural gas. He attributed this success to President Donald Trump's energy policies.
In a post on X, Wright said that thanks to @POTUS' agenda, they are building on that success by unleashing American energy, strengthening their economy, and lowering costs.
Wright also highlighted the importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil transit route. He stated that more than 15 million barrels of oil and petroleum products were moved through the Strait with assistance from the US military on Tuesday, while total shipments leaving the region approached 20 million barrels.
