US Oil and Gas Workers Drive Production to Record High Amid Global Tensions
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced on August 22 that American oil and gas workers have driven production to an all-time high, making the US the world's largest producer of oil and natural gas.
This achievement is attributed to President Donald Trump's energy policies, which have strengthened domestic production and reduced costs, according to Wright.
The Energy Secretary credited the US Navy for supporting the movement of energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil transit route, where Washington has been working to maintain the flow of crude and petroleum products.
Total shipments leaving the region, including volumes transported through pipelines, approached 20 million barrels, with more than 15 million barrels moved through the Strait on Tuesday with assistance from the US military.
