US Oil Rig Count Reaches New High
The US oil rig count has seen an increase for the week ending October 2. According to Baker Hughes, this marks a total of 456 active oil rigs in the country.
This is up by one compared to the previous week and also represents a significant gain over the past year, with 34 more rigs than at the same time last year.
The price of crude oil remains high, with Brent futures trading at $102.25 per barrel and WTI at $91.26 per barrel as of Friday's close.
