US Sanctions Chinese Shipping Firms over Iran Oil Deliveries
The US has imposed sanctions on eight Chinese and Hong Kong shipping companies accused of transporting Iranian oil to China.
The move is part of Washington's economic campaign against Tehran, which includes a naval blockade of Iran's ports and coastline.
According to the US State Department, six of the vessels specifically carried millions of barrels of Iranian crude to China in 2026.
The sanctions freeze any assets belonging to the targeted companies within US jurisdiction and prohibit US individuals and businesses from dealing with them.
