The US soybean futures market saw a significant increase on September 3, following reports of another large sale to China and robust new-crop demand.

November soybeans gained six cents to $13.1625 per bushel, while corn retreated and winter wheat posted sharp losses.

The strongest signal for the soybean market came from China, where private exporters reported a 7.1 million bushel sale of US soybeans for delivery during the 2026/27 marketing year.

Domestic demand is also a major factor in the soybean equation, with crush requirements tied to biofuel production driving exceptionally strong demand.
