US Stocks Slide as Fed Decision Looms Amid Oil Price Surge
New York-based investors saw their portfolios slip on Wednesday as they awaited a key decision from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
The S&P 500 dipped 0.2% early in the morning, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 434 points and the Nasdaq composite dropped 0.2%.
The oil market, however, saw a significant increase with Brent crude rising 5.6% to over $86 per barrel due to renewed fighting in the Middle East.
