US Stocks Soar as Corporate Profits Keep Piling Up

The US stock market reached new heights on Tuesday as corporate profits continued to soar and oil prices eased. The S&P 500 surged 1.8%, reaching a record high, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 907 points, or 1.7%, to its own record set the day before.

The rally was led by Palantir Technologies, which jumped 29.5% after reporting a 93% increase in revenue for the quarter and raising its full-year revenue forecast. Caterpillar also contributed to the gains, climbing 5.6% after beating earnings expectations.

Analysts attribute the strong profits to the ongoing AI boom, which is driving demand for data centers and other tech infrastructure. Despite worries about inflation, high oil prices, and a possible bubble in stock prices, investors remain optimistic about the market's prospects.
