USDA Grain Bids Mixed Across Midwest and Gulf on September 15

According to the USDA AMS daily state grain bids bundle for September 15, 2026, cash grain bids across several key U.S. markets were mixed in reports dated September 14 and September 15.

The Kansas report showed West bids for ordinary protein at a basis of -80.00U to -60.00Z, unchanged, with prices from 6.9800 to 7.3250 dollars per bushel, down 0.0600. The average year-ago price was 4.2400.

In Illinois, terminals, mills, and processors in Chicago showed ordinary protein bids at a basis of -30.00Z to 0.00Z, unchanged, with prices of 6.9200 to 7.2200 dollars per bushel, down 0.0325. The average year-ago price was 4.7000.

The Louisiana and Texas Gulf export bids report for September 15 was preliminary, showing US No. 2 yellow corn at a basis of 60.00Z to 73.00Z, with a basis change from unchanged to up 7.00, and prices of 5.9200 to 6.0500 dollars per bushel.

Futures settlements as of September 14, 2026, showed CBOT corn at 512.00 cents per bushel for September 2026, 533.25 for December 2026, and KCBT wheat was 778.00 for September 2026, 792.50 for December 2026.
