USDA Grain Bids Show Mixed Trends Across Regions
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its daily state grain bids bundle on July 30, 2026. The data compiled cash bids, basis levels, terminal and export market quotes, and elevator prices from multiple Midwest and export-gateway reports.
In the Kansas Daily Grain Bids report dated July 29, 2026, ordinary wheat in the West region had a basis ranging from -75.00 cents to -60.00 cents per bushel, unchanged. Prices for this wheat were between $6.5050 and $6.6550 per bushel, down 0.75 cents.
The Illinois Daily Grain Bids report showed that at Chicago terminals and mills, ordinary protein wheat basis ranged from -20.00 to -8.00 cents per bushel. Prices for this wheat ranged from $6.4075 to $6.5275 per bushel, with changes from down 1.75 cents to up 0.25 cents.
The Louisiana and Texas Gulf Export Bids and Basis report showed that US #2 Yellow Corn at Gulf Coast export elevators had a basis ranging from 105.00 to 107.00 cents per bushel, up 5.00 to 2.00 cents. Prices for this corn were between $5.5400 and $5.5600 per bushel, up 5.00 to 2.00 cents.
