USDA Report Looms as Corn Prices Slip Lower Ahead of Harvest

The latest NASS Crop Progress report showed that 72% of the US corn crop was mature as of September 27, with harvest progressing at an average pace. Condition ratings remained steady, with 57% of the crop in good to excellent condition.
Traders surveyed by Bloomberg are expecting corn stocks to total around 1.911 billion bushels on September 1, significantly higher than last year's figure but slightly lower than the WASDE estimate for 2025/26 US corn ending stocks.
