USDA Report Reveals Futures Settlements and Mixed Moves in Canola Market
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its National Daily Sunflower, Canola, Millet and Flaxseed Report for September 30, 2026. The report included futures settlements on various exchanges: Chicago Board of Trade, Kansas City Board of Trade, and Minneapolis Grain Exchange.
Corn futures settled at $500.75 per bushel for December 2026, with subsequent months showing increases up to $531.50 cents for March 2028. Soybeans also saw price hikes, from $1293.00 cents per bushel in November 2026 to $1326.50 cents in May 2027.
Chicago Board of Trade wheat settled at $675.75 cents per bushel for December 2026, with Kansas City Board of Trade and Minneapolis Grain Exchange prices also rising. White wheat saw a basis increase from $418.75 cents in December 2026 to $439.00 cents in March 2028.
In the cash market for conventional canola, bids ranged from $24.41 to $26.37 dollars per hundredweight at various locations. Basis levels showed mixed moves across the Northern Plains, with some increases and declines compared to year-ago averages.
