USDA Ups Ukraine Wheat Production Estimate Amid Export Uncertainty

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has revised its estimates for Ukraine's wheat production and exports in the current marketing year.

In its September report, the USDA increased Ukraine's wheat production estimate by 0.6 million tons to 26 million tons, driven by record yields.

The export forecast was lowered by 1 million tons to 12.5 million tons, while domestic consumption is estimated to be 9.5 million tons, up from a previous projection of 9.2 million tons.

The estimate for ending stocks in Ukraine was increased by 1.3 million tons to 6.1 million tons.
