Uzbekistan Boosts Gas Production Amid Soaring Energy Demand
Uzbekistan is taking measures to increase gas production and supply amid rising energy demand. The country's President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has ordered Uzbekneftegaz to launch 27 new gas wells in August, which could potentially increase gas production by 887,000 cubic meters.
The plans were discussed at a meeting chaired by President Mirziyoyev on measures to maintain stability in the oil and gas market. The meeting reviewed oil and gas production, imports, processing, storage, and distribution. Officials noted that demand for energy resources is rising as industrial capacity expands and household consumption increases.
The president stressed the need to maintain stable supplies to the domestic market, particularly during periods of seasonal demand. He also instructed authorities to accurately assess the needs of different industries and regions.
