Uzbekistan President Orders Stability Measures in Oil and Gas Market
Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed measures to ensure stability in the oil and gas market, particularly in light of increasing demand for natural gas and petroleum products due to expanding production capacity and growing population needs.
The government aims to prevent unjustified price increases by ensuring a stable supply of resources to the domestic market. To achieve this, officials will daily analyze market demand and identify potential supply risks in advance, taking timely measures to address them.
Uzbekneftegaz JSC has been tasked with maintaining oil and gas production targets, preventing disruptions in hydrocarbon supplies, and increasing liquefied gas production to 606 thousand tons by the end of the year. The company was also instructed to ensure full compliance with established targets to maintain balance between supply and demand.
The President emphasized the importance of establishing daily oversight of all processes, from drilling wells to connecting them to the gas transmission system, as well as ensuring the uninterrupted operation of power supply and production infrastructure.
