Uzbekistan's Russian Wheat Imports Soar by Nearly 16 Times

Russian wheat exports to Uzbekistan surged in the first eight months of 2026, increasing by nearly 16 times compared to the same period last year. According to Agroexport, from January to August 2026, Russia exported over 71 thousand tons of wheat worth more than $12.6 million to Uzbekistan.

This represents a significant increase in physical terms, with exports rising 15.9 times and in value, up 13.4 times compared to the first eight months of last year.

In September alone, Uzbekistan received over 65 thousand tons, marking an absolute record in wheat imports from Russia since observations began.
