Valeura Energy Unveils Suraphi Oil Discovery and Boosts Jasmine Production
Valeura Energy Inc., a Canadian oil and gas company listed on the TSX under the ticker VLE, has announced a significant discovery in its Suraphi field near Manora. The Suraphi oil discovery boasts net oil pay of up to 172 feet, marking a substantial milestone for the project.
The company's Jasmine drilling campaign has also shown promising results, with oil production increasing to approximately 8,250 barrels per day (bbls/d) before royalties, up from around 7,570 bbls/d previously. This surge in production is expected to boost near-term cash flow and support the project's growth.
Valeura plans to resume drilling operations in November 2026, with a focus on unlocking stranded volumes at its Malida field through tie-back potential. This development could enhance project economics and scale, further increasing the company's resource base.
