Valley Gas Prices Dip After Record-Breaking September High
Gas prices in the Valley have dropped after reaching a record-breaking high in September. According to AAA Arizona, gas prices decreased by 7 cents per gallon this past week. The current average price for gas is $4.80 per gallon, which is still higher than last year at this time and also higher than a month ago.
The national average has been affected by the drop in crude oil prices, which are now back in the $90 per barrel range. However, overall gas prices remain the highest they've ever been for this time of the year.
David Caltabiano, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, stated that while the national average has decreased, gas prices in their region remain a concern due to the ongoing high prices.
