The Port of Vancouver reported record cargo volumes in the first six months of 2026, with a total of 88.1 million metric tonnes handled.

This represents a 3% increase from the same period in 2025 and marks a new high for the port's half-year performance.

The growth is largely attributed to record volumes of Prairie grain and Alberta crude oil shipped to Indo-Pacific markets, as well as stable two-way container trade.
