Venezuela Seeks G20 Energy Partnership with US
A Venezuelan delegation joined the G20 ministerial meeting in Houston to discuss energy abundance, amidst agreements between Caracas and Washington. The alliance aims to drive investment flows and increase Venezuelan oil production.
According to Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, the agreement will allow a considerable increase in oil production. The delegation's participation reaffirms Venezuela's capacities in energy and mining matters, its willingness to promote international cooperation projects, and its position as one of the main energy powers in the world.
The meeting included Venezuelan Hydrocarbons Minister Paula Henao; Mining Development and Basic Industries Minister Héctor Silva; U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum; and U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
