Venture Global, Inc. (VG) has officially launched commercial operations at the first phase of its Plaquemines liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Louisiana. This milestone, achieved on October 31, 2026, underscores the company's rapid project execution, completing the development in just 53 months following the final investment decision (FID). The facility's swift construction and operational readiness position Venture Global as a leader in the global LNG market.

The commencement of commercial operations marks the beginning of LNG deliveries to Phase 1 customers under long-term agreements. These contracts provide Venture Global with stable revenue streams and enhanced cash flow generation, reinforcing its financial outlook. The first commercial shipment departed on October 31, with Shell as the recipient, demonstrating the facility's operational capability and strengthening ties with major energy customers.

Plaquemines LNG's cost-efficient model bolsters Venture Global's competitive edge in a volatile global natural gas market. The ability to supply affordable American LNG is expected to drive customer demand and solidify the company's market presence. For investors, the commercial launch signifies a step toward more predictable earnings and cash flow, supported by long-term supply agreements and efficient project execution.

Beyond Venture Global, other energy stocks like Cheniere Energy, Inc. (LNG), Baker Hughes Company (BKR), and Range Resources Corporation (RRC) are also gaining attention. These companies benefit from growing LNG demand and long-term supply contracts, with each carrying a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Cheniere Energy reported a 39% year-over-year revenue increase in the third quarter of 2026, while Baker Hughes saw a 14% rise in revenues and a 42% jump in Industrial & Energy Technology orders. Range Resources experienced an 11% year-over-year increase in natural gas production.
