Venture Global Seals New 20-Year LNG Deal with China
Venture Global has signed a new long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with China Gas Holdings, expanding their partnership despite ongoing trade tensions between the US and China.
The deal adds 0.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG to be supplied from Venture Global's Louisiana projects starting in 2030. This brings China Gas' total contracted volumes with Venture Global under 20-year agreements to 2.5 MTPA.
Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel said, 'Venture Global is pleased to expand our LNG partnership with China Gas, supplying the country's growing energy needs with reliable, low-cost American LNG from across our Louisiana projects.'
