Venture Global's LNG exports saw a significant increase in Q2 2026 as the company progresses on its Plaquemines and CP2 projects. The developer exported 127 LNG cargoes during the quarter, up from 91 in Q2 2025, with sales volumes rising by 42% year-over-year.

The U.S. LNG developer sold 466.4 TBtu of natural gas liquids during the quarter, a notable increase from the same period last year. This growth can be attributed to the progress made on its Plaquemines project in Louisiana, which is moving towards commercial operations with Phase 1 expected to begin in Q4 2026.

Construction at CP2 LNG is also advancing as scheduled, targeting first LNG production in H2 2027. The company is separately pursuing an expansion of the project, aiming for a final investment decision by early 2027 and first production in late 2028, subject to regulatory approvals.
