Vietnam Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid Global Market Uncertainty
On September 21, gold prices in Vietnam remained steady, with gold bars being purchased at approximately VND 144.6 million per tael. The buying price stayed the same as on September 20, indicating a stable start to the new trading week.
The demand for gold continued to hold up the market, while global gold prices remained high due to safe-haven interest and evolving expectations regarding interest rates and the US dollar.
In India, MCX gold futures were trading up, with the October contract gaining 0.84% to around Rs 1,54,263 per 10 grams. The increase in MCX gold occurred as investors kept watching global market developments, such as movements in the US dollar and expectations around interest rates.
The prices of major brands in Vietnam were also similar, ranging from VND 144 million to VND 145 million per tael for different products and purities.
