Vietnam Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid Global Market Volatility
Gold prices in Vietnam have held steady on September 27, with domestic rates remaining at VND 144.4 million per tael. This stability is attributed to global gold prices easing to around $4,284 per ounce. However, silver prices in the country continue to face pressure due to weakening international precious-metals prices.
The MCX gold prices also mirrored this restrained activity across the wider market, with investors closely watching global gold prices for new signals. Major brands such as SJC, DOJI, PNJ, Bao Tin Minh Chau, Phu Quy, and Mi Hong have their gold prices listed at VND 141,900,000 per tael, except for Mi Hong which is slightly higher at VND 142,700,000.
Buyers are advised to compare rates before making a purchase, as gold prices can vary across cities and jewellers. They should also check the final jewellery bill, including GST, making charges, wastage charges, and other applicable costs. Furthermore, buyers may want to consider staggering purchases instead of committing to a large amount at one price, given the significant day-to-day swings in gold prices.
