Vietnam Gold Prices Hold Steady as Market Awaits US Inflation Data
Gold prices in Vietnam remained stable on August 10th as investors awaited US inflation data and developments in the Middle East. The price of SJC gold bars held at 141-144 million VND/ounce, unchanged from the previous day's close.
The international market showed minimal movement, with world gold prices fluctuating around $4,343/ounce. This near-sideways trading pattern suggests that the market is experiencing strong profit-taking after a strong weekly gain of over 7%.
The weaker-than-expected US jobs report has given gold a significant advantage, as the probability of the Fed raising interest rates in September fell to around 43.9%. This lower interest rate environment supports gold prices, making it an attractive investment option.
